What does Kortag stand for?
The name Kortag comes from the name of the Carthaginian Empire which was a monarchy and later a republic of Phoenician city-states throughout North Africa and modern Spain which lasted from about 650 BC until 146 BC. The name has been modified for marketing purposes.

In which country is Kortag able to provide the most effective service to its students?
Kortag is based in the UK and obviously this is where we can provide effective services to our international students. However, we are able to provide effective services for our students in the USA and Canada as well. Our partners’ schools in the US provide inclusive services, which include accommodation and airport transfers.
What is a CAS number?
CAS is the confirmation of acceptance for Studies in the UK.
The CAS number is actually an electronic number assigned to this confirmation which allows you to apply for a student visa. This System is called the Sponsorship Management System.

What is a I 20 form?
An I-20 form is a U.S. government form that tells the U.S. government that you are eligible for F-1 Student Status. It certifies that (1) you are or expect to be a "bona fide" student; (2) you meet school or university admissions requirements; (3) you will pursue a full course of study; (4) you have provided proof to the selected school or university that you have enough money to cover your expenses whilst studying and living in the U.S. without working illegally or suffering from poverty. You need an I-20 form to obtain an F-1 student visa or status, or to keep lawful F-l status when transferring or changing schools within the U.S.
What is SEVIS?
SEVIS is a U.S. internet-based system that is used to maintain accurate and current information on non-immigrant students/scholars (F, M & J) visas and their dependants. SEVIS allows schools and the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) to exchange data on the visa status of international students/ scholars
What is IELTS?
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an international standardized test of English language proficiency. It is jointly managed by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations Board and British Council and IDP Education Pty Ltd. IELTS is the world’s proven English test. What is GMAT?
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT, pronounced G-mat, [dʒiː.mæt]) is a Computer-Adaptive standardized test in mathematics and the English language for measuring aptitude to succeed academically in graduate business studies.
What is a pre-sessional English course?
The Pre-sessional Courses at British universities are open to international students who are planning to come to the UK for undergraduate or postgraduate study. The courses are designed for international students who:
- need to improve their language skills as a condition of entry to University or
- have already met the English language conditions for entry to university, but who want to find out more about using English for academic studies and the forms and expectations of academic life in the UK in order to get a head start before starting an academic program.
What is a conditional offer?
An offer made by a university or college, whereby the student must still meet certain criteria before they can be accepted on the relevant course, most commonly, for international students, complete an English Language Test.
What is an unconditional offer?
An offer made to a student to attend their required course by a university or college, if they have met all required criteria. What does MSc, MA, Phd stand for?
